If you're anything like our family—a devoted Christian family with four wonderful kids who enjoy watching videos online—then you've probably run into the same challenge we did: It’s hard to find solid, biblically accurate Christian content for kids.
We searched YouTube time and time again, hoping to find something both meaningful and engaging. While there is some good content out there, we often found ourselves scrolling past countless videos that didn’t speak truth, lacked depth, or just didn’t feel right for our kids.
After much prayer and seeking the Lord’s guidance, we felt called to do something about it. That’s how Tell Me The Bible Story was born.
It hasn’t been easy—we're still learning, growing, and figuring out what it takes to create quality animated content that teaches the Bible in a clear, simple, and powerful way. But one thing we knew from the start: to tell a great story, you need a great storyteller.
That’s where Grandpa Bourne comes in.
My father, Grandpa Bourne, has been a teacher for most of his life. And to this day, at 77 years old, he still has a deep love for teaching, especially when it comes to the Word of God. He’s a storyteller through and through. Give him a moment, and he’ll share a story that makes you laugh, think, or see something in a whole new way. More than anything, he loves Jesus and delights in teaching others about God’s Word.
Last year, our family faced a difficult moment. Grandpa Bourne was diagnosed with cancer. But instead of choosing chemotherapy, he felt led to trust the Lord and take a natural path. With the help of a cousin who is deeply knowledgeable about natural health, he began a journey of healing—through fasting, a diet of cancer-fighting vegetables and seeds, cutting out processed foods and sugars, and daily exercise.
Today, by the grace of God, Grandpa Bourne is cancer-free and in incredible health! We give God all the praise and glory!
Watching his unwavering faith, his joy, and his strength inspired us even more. His story gave us the push we needed to step into this ministry. Even in retirement, he hasn’t slowed down. In fact, we can hardly keep up with him! He’s always asking, “When can we record the next story?” and we have to remind him, “Hold on, Dad, we’re still finishing the last one!”
This is the heart behind Tell Me The Bible Story—
a small, faithful family, passionately in love with Jesus,
who believe the world needs to hear the truth of God’s Word in a way that’s simple, easy to understand, and full of love.
We’re not making a dime right now, but we’re doing it because we believe it matters. We believe children and families all around the world need to know the God of the Bible—the Creator of heaven and earth— and His love that never fails.
So please, pray for us.
Pray for our small team.
Pray that God will continue to lead, provide, and open hearts.
And if you feel led, we’d be so grateful if you would:
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Let’s tell the world the Bible story—one video at a time. 💛
Grandpa & Nana Bourne
Jesus told a story about a shepherd who had 100 sheep. When one got lost, he left the 99 to search for it. When he found it, he was so happy! Jesus said this is how God feels when one person who is lost turns back to Him—He rejoices with great joy.
Jesus told a story about a man who was hurt on the road. Several people walked past without helping, but a Samaritan man stopped, took care of him, and made sure he was safe. Jesus taught that being a good neighbor means showing kindness to anyone who needs help, no matter who they are.
Jesus told a story about a farmer who scattered seeds. Some fell on the path, some on rocky ground, some among thorns, and some on good soil. Only the seeds on good soil grew well. Jesus explained that the seed is God’s Word, and the good soil is a heart that listens, understands, and follows Him.
Jesus said the Kingdom of God is like a tiny mustard seed that grows into a big tree, like yeast that spreads through dough, like treasure hidden in a field, and like a priceless pearl. These stories show that God's Kingdom may start small, but it grows, spreads, and is worth more than anything else in the world.
